Tourist Fairs of the Podkarpacie Region
An outdoor event inaugurating the tourist season in the Podkarpacie Region. It consists of the following blocks: exhibition-touristic, presenting offers of tourist companies and representatives of local handiwork and gastronomic outlets; artistic-stage performances and sports-recreational.

Mountain Bike Marathon
A mountain bike marathon across the Przemyśl Foothills for the distances of 25 and 50 kilometres.

M. Plebańczyk International Canoeing
Canoeing along the San from Sanok to Przemyśl.

John Paul II Pilgrim’s PTTK Rally
Walking and cycling rally on the John Paul II path, between Kalwaria Pacławska and Przemyśl.

“GALICIA” Multicultural Festival
A cycle of concerts, exhibitions, meetings and sessions, presenting cultures of nations historically or contemporarily connected with the Przemyśl Land.


National Rafters’ Days
Rafting along the Brotherhood of Ulanów Land Lovers Blue San Track of Saint Barbara in Ulanów.

Poetic Spring of Przemyśl
An event during which leading contemporary Polish poets meet the townspeople of Przemyśl. They discuss selected issues relating to Polish or foreign literature.

International Festival of Children’s Folk Bands
An event attended by bands from several countries, connected with a parade along the streets of the town and performances in nearby towns.

Castle Holiday
An outdoor event held on the Castle Hill, promoting Casimir Castle and related traditions, linked with fairs, shows and concerts.

Fredro Spring in Przemyśl
An event during which theatres from Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia present the dramatic works of Aleksander Fredro. The “Fredreum” Theatre, with its seat in Przemyśl, participates in the event every year.

 

JULY

Great Manoeuvres of Soldier Švejk in the Przemyśl Fortress
The Manoeuvres are a humorous outdoor event, promoting both the town and the Fortress and cultivating the character of the popular Good Soldier Švejk.

The Ivan Kupała Night
An event referring to historic folk rituals. The following are organised during the event: Presentations of traditional Ukrainian dishes, linked with a fair of folk handicraft products; concerts; bonfires and celebrations of the ancient rituals of Midsummer Night in the evening.

Pipe Holiday
An outdoor event, promoting traditions of Przemyśl handicraft, coupled with sales of pipes, a slow pipe smoking contest and concerts.

Honey Holiday
An outdoor event, promoting honey from the Podkarpacie Region and local handicraft, linked with sales and concerts.

Salesian Musical Summer
A cycle of chamber music and organ music concerts, organised mainly in the Salesian Church, referring to their musical traditions, including that operating in the Organ Music School of Przemyśl.

AUGUST

The “WINCENTIADA” – Days of St Vincent, Patron of Przemyśl
An event during which inhabitants of Przemyśl revere St Vincent, whose relics are kept in the Franciscan Church. At the same time, “Wincentiada” is a family event, full of games, recreational activities and concerts. Moreover, it presents the achievements and works of craftsmen, artistic and sports circles in Przemyśl.

SEPTEMBER

Dr M. Orłowicz PTTK National Tourist Rally
Walking and cycling rally in the Przemyśl Foothills and Dynów Foothills.

Canoeing Marathon
Canoeing along the San from Przemyśl to Jarosław.

International Festival of Patriotic Borderland Songs for Teenagers
An event attended by soloists, choirs and vocal and instrumental bands from Belarus, the Czech Republic, Latvia and the Ukraine.

A cycle of concerts of various types of music, from classical to light music, performed by professional Polish and foreign musicians.

DECEMBER

Tournament of One Poet’s Poems
An event popularizing contemporary Polish poetry, organised as a declamation contest for lower secondary school teenagers, with the participation of a modern Polish poet.

Great St Nicholas Parade
An event for children (performance or concert, common singing and games), whose culminating point is the arrival of St Nicholas on the market square.

„Jazz Bez...” International Jazz Festival
Polish and Ukrainian meeting of jazz musicians with concerts held in Przemyśl and Lviv.
